5x+2y=-12 in slope intercept form

OpenStudy (shamil98):

slope intercept form is y = mx + b To do this you must get the y variable my itself on one side :) I'll help you get started. 5x + 2y = -12 2y = -5x -12 After this step is done all you need do is divide the number mutliplied to y from both sides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get 2y = -5x -12?

OpenStudy (shamil98):

you subtract 5x from both sides
