I'm horrible with these but I'll give it a shot simplified you have x amount of stuff in kg per mm (millimeters) now if you changed your millimeters to meters you would have 1000 millimeters so multiply the bottom by 1000 or 10x3 and to keep it the same 1000 times on the top too so blab x10^-6 * 10^3 comes out to blobx10^3 I think that's right...
