Question

Static cling is not working :-/

I m trying to do a video on static electricity.. and none of the classic experiment is working.. not even a bit.. i tried plastic comb with hair, comb with wool, glass (ketchup sauce bottle and mugs) with silk.. But nothing seems to attract those darn bits of news paper..

is the humidity that big a deal?! I am in mangalore.. it is pretty humid.. but something should work right :-/

The water dropplets/vapour can transfur charge, if its too humid , the experiments wont work

Have you tried rubbing a balloon onto hair or fur?

if the above didn't work.. you think the balloon may work?! .. well.. i don't have any balloons with me to try.. but ll go buy them and give it a shot :P!

ive found ballons can store quite a bit of charge, its worth a chance.

How small are the pieces of newspaper?
