@ryan123345 and you call yourself an "Ambassador"?
mmhm :) @skullpatrol
Have you even read the code of conduct?
Its a definition... Its not like its a equation problem... You dont just ask have any ideas to a definition problem.. lol. How are they gonna have a idea to a word they dont even know? providing a definition and a picture would help them understand completely...
Students are capable enough to come up with their own definition and then the teacher can make THEIR ideas more precise by giving the accepted definition.
I wonder how you can think of a definition if you dont know the word...
Learning is an approximating process.
I know what it is. its the point on the plane where the x axis and y axis cross eachother
and the ordered pair is 0,0
I'm sure everybody has heard the word "origin" before.
skull one more thing... Do you know what G.E.T.S means in math?
You never know @skullpatrol. That was a very poor excuse.... You dont know if everyone knows what ''origin'' means.. Lol you arent supposed to look at someone that way..
You have to look at the people that struggle in math. We know so much about math that we tend to forget how easy a person can forget a word..
In math, like any other subject, we need to assume some familiarity and background.
You are assuming wrong. You are assuming people know everything we know. But it doesn't work that way...
You'll be surprised when you realize how many people in high school doesn't know what origin means...
The Origin of the Species has been well known to the general public for over 100 years.
Not to mention forms of the word such as "originate" "original"...
Students just need to understand the English language more precisely.
