the equation is in the form ax^2 +by+c
to factor it, find all the possible factors of c
in this case they are
(24)(1) and (-24)(-1)
(12)(2) and (-12)(-2)
(8)(3) and (-8)(-3)
(6)(4) and (-6)(-4)

compare each set with 'b'
is 24 + 1 = b = -11? NOPE
is 12+ 2 = -11? NOPE
is 8 + 3 = -11? NOPE
is -8 - 3 = -11? YES

so the factors are
(x-8)(x-3)
