Suppose a drunk leaves the bar and staggers around one-foot long steps to the right and to the left at random. Is it more likely that the drunk will be close to the bar or far way ? Why?
If left and right are equally likely, and front and back are probability zero, he should be expected to go nowhere.
well, if he's already drunk, then he doesn't have to be in the bar anymore, I mean, heck he's staggering, so he'll likely is moving away from the bar, he got his fill by now, so he'll just fall in some bushes and the dogs will lick his face while he's asleep
talk about a random walk!
the drunk will be close to the bar right ? =D
well, if you first to the right then to the left how far would you be?
well, if you first MOVE to the right then to the left how far would you be?
