OpenStudy (rohitom):

why Gravity is always attractive?

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Like all physical phenomena, we can describe and use cause and effect but actually we don't know much more about it. Gravity is observed to be an attractive force between masses that follows a 1/d^2 law, if there where a repulsive for force, as with charge, it hasn't been observed and if observed they call it something else.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause its gravity...!!

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

Because mass bends space, creating a gravitational field, causing nearby objects with mass to move down this gravitational potential hill.
