Ziam has written a popular song entitled “Going There,” which has been recorded by a well-known performer. He recently received a royalty check for $7,000. If Ziam gets a 0.5 share of the royalties and the credit value is $3.50, what was the credit total that his song earned? Write out the problem in the form of an equation and solve it.
I'm a little bit unclear on the language - I'm assuming that "the credit value is $3.50" means that he earned $3.50 per unit sold? Since he earned a 50% royalty, then you know that the "credit total" (again, I'm assuming that this is the total amount of sales?) is twice what he earned. So: credit total = 2(his total earned) ?? This problem is oddly worded... if that's all it's looking for, then you don't need to know his "credit value" per unit sold. But I'm not sure what they even mean by "credit value", I'm not sure where you are located but it might be a language thing?
Thank you I have no idea what the problem was talking about either. I live in Roanoke va. But this is how the problem is worded
