5/6x=-5/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5/6x = -5/9 5= 6x(-5/9) 5/(-5/9) = 6x -9= 6x x=-3/2

OpenStudy (austinl):

\(\dfrac{5}{6x}=-\dfrac{5}{9}\) Divide both sides by 5. \(\dfrac{1}{6x}=-\dfrac{5}{9}\times\dfrac{1}{5}=-\dfrac{5}{45}\) Multiply by 6x. \(1=-\dfrac{30}{45}\times \dfrac{x}{1}\) Divide by \(-\dfrac{30}{45}\) \(x=-\dfrac{45}{30}=-\dfrac{3}{2}\)

OpenStudy (austinl):

@im_not_dat_kid does this make sense?
