well if you know the roots, you know the binomial factors P(x) = (x +1)(x +2)(x - 3) you don't need to distribute.... just get the constant term that will give you the answer from the list

gievn the polynomial is P(x) =(x +1)(x+2)(x -3) just multiply the constants.... 1,2 and -3

thats correct... doing the question that way is a short cut... provided there is only 1 answer with a constant of -6
