I think the best way to answer this question is to just think about it logically. The biggest giveaway is the initial starting price (1980). Only the equations that have a Y-intercept of 4 would be accurate. If you consider that in 32 years the growth has been 5 dollars, you can average the growth per year as 5/32. Since there are 9 more years til 2021 from 2012 you can estimate the growth of those 9 years. Add it to your 2012 cost of $9.00. And you're close to 11. For multiple choice questions in math, always use the given answers to guide your reasoning and approach to the problem.
