Compute 12% of $1200 \(0.12\times $1200\)

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Can even do a little bit of simple "mental math" here and do it in your head. Notice that 12% = 10% + 1% + 1% 10% of 1200 = 120 (move decimal 1 place over) 1% of 1200 = 12 (move decimal 2 places over) So 120+12+12= 12% of 1200

OpenStudy values the Learning process - not the ‘Give you an answer’ process. Don’t post only answers - guide the asker to a solution. http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct And if anything is more pathetic than jumping into a post to hand out an answer, it's to do so, and then beg for a medal. Medals are a nice "thank you", but I care more about the student actually having an opportunity to LEARN something.
