Need help with square roots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how does it work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any number multiplied by itself equals it's square. \(x \times x = x^2\) Also \(\sqrt{x^2} = x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To use numbers: 5×5=25 \(\sqrt{25} = 5\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh thanks this helps alot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also, the sides of a square are all equal. A 5 by 5 square has an area of 25.
