for the speed of the plane simply (480+420)/2 and for the speed of the wind (480 -420)/2
see actually here u have to setup equations let the actual speed of the plane be x km/h and that of the wind be y km/hr with the wind combined speed becomes (x+y)km/hr and against the wind it is (x-y)km/hr as for here it is given that x+y=480 and x-y =420 hence u just need to solve these equations
instead of km/hr pls use miles /hr
