I am not sure if this question fits here but I am going to ask it here anyways. What is it with odd numbers? I mean why does \($19.99\) sound better than \($19.98\)? I have some OCD friends and they hate odd numbers but they all admit \($19.99\) sounds better than \($19.98\). Why is this? I have searched around for an answer and could not find anything about it, odd am I right? Tags: @InYourHead

A person with OCD prefers uniformity. "Uniformity" is basically where everything looks the same. OCD is an anxiety disorder. And people with OCD alleviate their anxiety by going out to their way to establish order, cleanliness, and uniformity. There is more uniformity in 19.99 than there is in 19.98. There is LESS of a variety of different numbers in 19.99. You see?
