Two lamps, one with a thick filament and one with a thin filament, are connected in series to a battery. The voltage is greater across the lamp with the A. thin filament. B. thick filament. C. Voltage is the same for both.
if they were made same material their resistance must be different. thick filaments resistance is smaller than thin filaments resistance. The current which flows both thick flament and thin filament is same. So you can use the OHMs law to find voltage. V=I*R
o.o am I supposed to have numbers to plug into that law? x:
you can find out without using any number. Think about OHMs law, if the resistance higher automatically voltage has to be higher because of direct proportional.
C.
Think again. Do not forget that the current is same on each filament.
I honestly don't understand anything going on here .-. aha
