Mathematics 15 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which factor can you cancel from the numerator and denominator to simplify.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[8-2x \over 3x-12\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor and then cancel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would i need to switch the top equation around?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[8-2x=2(4-x)\] and \(3x-12=3(x-4)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really "switch it around" but rather know that as long as \(x\) is not equal 4, \[\frac{4-x}{x-4}=-1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thnks
