find F(x)

OpenStudy (tester97):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you need to do is plug in -4 for x first. what does that get you?

OpenStudy (tester97):

-4=5x+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup! And also substitute -4 for the X after 5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you should have -4=5(-4)+1

OpenStudy (tester97):

so -4=-19?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :) except its supposed to be kept as F so the beginning should just look like F(-4)=-19 My teacher always had us fill in the -4 after F but it really doesnt do anything. F is just Y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
