Sally’s father baked 8 cookies. Sally and 4 friends (5 people total) decide to share the cookies equally. How much will each person get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each person would get 1.6 cookies

OpenStudy (uri):

Oh @Giovanni mind telling how? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because if each person had 1.6 cookies and there are 5 people 1.6 times five equals 8. therefore evenly shared

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 3/5 would that be he answer ?cause that is one of my choses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that would be it. if you need an explanation on that also basically take that fraction 1 3/5 multipky the 3 and the 5 by 2 and you get 1 6/10 which is 1.6 so yes that is your answer
