Explain how to plot the point (-5,4) on a coordinate plane.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Explain? Hmm. Well, the coordinate is represented by what position and what position. So that when you read -5 and 4, what are you actually reading?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know how to do it.. I just don't know to explain it. I think the question is asking how and where you put -5 and 4.. the question is confusing.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Well it's basically asking how you would do it. Just write literally how you do it. I would say I go to the value -5 on the x-axis and go up until it reaches the value 4 on the y-axis. Or something like that.
