The coordinates of rectangle ABCD are A(3, -2), B(5, -2), C(5, -7), D(3, -7). What are the coordinates of the point of intersection of the diagonals of the rectangle after the rectangle is reflected across the x -axis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well a reflection across the x axis, just turn all the y values to negative so the new coordinates are: (3,2) (5,2) (5,7) (3,7) and you can do 1 of 2 things: 1) get a ruler and draw from point a to c and point b to d and find that point of intersection 2) use midpoint formula

i dont know the midpoint formula... :(
