I need help.
With what?
List the elements of the set\[\left\{ 5,\frac{ 2 }{ -3 }, \frac{ 8 }{ 2 }, \sqrt{9}, 0.3, \sqrt{7}, 1\frac{ 5 }{ 8 }, -1, \pi \right\}\] that are also elements of each given set.
Whole numbers- Natural numbers- Rational numbers-
Whole numbers are all integers greater than or equal to 0. Natural numbers are all integers greater than or equal to one. Rational numbers are any numbers that can be made into a fraction.
Whole numbers- 5, 8/2, square root of 9 Natural numbers- 5, 8/2, square root of 9 Rational numbers- all Is this right?? @jim_thompson5910 @Yusako12 @dtcrane
All numbers are not rational numbers.*
pi is not a rational number, neither is radical 7.
Even though back then, pi was used as (21/7). Though, that's not an accurate value of pi. Pi goes on forever. You cannot put a number that goes on forever in a fraction. :) I hope this help.
i know @GoldPhenoix just the ones tht i listed. ok thxs:D @dtcrane
Ohh. I knew that. >_> That was just a mini-review. :)
why is radical 7 not rational?? it is 2.6 ??
Pi was never used as 21/7. It was approximated as 22/7, but never as purely 3.
Nope. What is 2.6^2 = ?
Oh typo. Sorry. Meant to say (22/7)*
radical 7 cannot be made into a fraction. A number is rational if it can me made into a fraction with integers in the numerator and denominator.
ok thxs
It is impossible to make radical 7 into such a fraction! :)
ok ok thxs @dtcrane
Thanks everyone, imma close this now, if u want to talk, message me.
