I need help on this problem a/b -8=c/d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[{a\over b}-8={c\over d}\]what exactly do you need to do?

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

I'm just watching (just letting you guys know)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lil_mexican18 what does the question ask you to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve the epuation for the givin variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh its for a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so we need to get \(a\) alone by itself...right now the \(-8\) and the \(b\) are in the way of that...so let's get rid of them:\[{a\over b}-8={c\over d}\]add the 8 over to the other side\[{a\over b}={c\over d}+8\]multiply both sides by b since it is being divided \[a=b\left({c\over d}+8\right)\]and the a is now alone and solved for :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh i get it now thank yhu veryy much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yhu're welcome lol
