Can I please get some help on this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (blurbendy):

x + y = 800 x <= 480 interest rate on x = .02 y <= 640 interest rate on y = .04 .02x + .04y = 27 x+y = 800 from x + y = 800 What remains is a few substitutions. Can you work on it from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where would you substitute. I understand our two formulas are .02x + .04y = 27 x + y = 800 So I put in 480 for the x in the second formula and solve for y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never mind I would do .02x + .04(800 - x) = 27 x = 250 .02(250) + .04y = 27 y = 550 so bonds are 250m and borrow 550m
