OpenStudy (brinazarski):

My question is talking about stomatas, and then it asks for that of a C4 plant and a CAM plant. So far I've written that "C4 plants do not go through photorespiration." Is this true? As I just need help as I go along lol

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

"C4 plants do not go through photorespiration, and because of their manner of using photosynthesis, they do not need to keep their stomata open as long as this plant."

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

I dnt think this is correct.

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

Why not?

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

I've checked a few websites and my textbook and they all seem to say that C4 plants do not go through photorespiration, and I read that, because of their way of using photosynthesis, they keep their stomata open for much shorter periods of time.
