Well, sure, and I did.... but you're telling me I'm wrong and I'm telling you you're wrong. so I figured Wolfram could settle it. Can't really argue with the c&p into Wolfram!!

I mean, just look at the 99,999,999 + 11,111,111 part of it. You won't have 0's after the ones place. You'll get a 0 in the ones place, then you carry the 1 so all the rest of the places will sum to 11, carry the 1, sum to 11, carry the 1, etc. all the way to the end, so you have 111,111,110

Then you add 1,000,000,000 to that sum, which really just slaps a "1" out in front in the billions place, so you get 1,111,111,110

But if there's some secret rule about addition that I'm not understanding, such that you get 1,100,000,000, I'm surely always willing to learn, so please feel free to explain it to me. :) (you kids and this crazy new math! lol :)
