I need help with rational expressions!!

OpenStudy (austinl):

Alright, lets see what you need help with! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need more of an explanation. I'm told to research the web for examples but I keep finding different things. I just want to know what they are and how to calculate them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks but this was no help for me. :(

OpenStudy (austinl):

Do you want an example and how to solve for a variable?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure how about this. Its from my book P(x)=90(1+1.5x)/(1+0.5x)

OpenStudy (austinl):

That is a function, that is typically something to be graphed. \(P(x)=\dfrac{90(1+1.5x)}{(1+0.5x)}=\dfrac{90+135x}{1+0.5x}\)
