start on the more difficult side of the equation: the left side 3x+3(4-3x) distribute the 3 which gives you: 3x+12-9x combine like terms whcih would be the "x" terms: 3x-9x+12= -6x+12. Now bring back the right side of the equation: -6x+12=12-6x. bring all values to one side of the equation: -6x+6x+12-12=0 x values cancel as do the +12 and -12 giving you an answer of "0"
