OpenStudy (anonymous):

when rounding a number if the number is 0, 1 ,2 ,3 or 4 you keep the number that is there. so if you have to round 4.561 to hunderds you get 4.56 if the number is 5 ,6 7 8 or 9 you round up. so if you round 4.567 to hunderds you get 4.57

I took out the middle number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you do is look at the number in the spot of the tenths. this is 1 then look at the number behind. this is 4. 4 is in the first list of numbers which makes you 'round down' this means the 1 does not change into a 2. so you would get 4.1
