This one is fairly easy. Instantaneous speed is what the speedometer on your car reads. It reads your speed at any given instant. Average speed is what you'd get if you took a trip in the car and measured the mileage and time it took for the trip...and then calculate your speed using \[Speed=\frac{distance}{time}\]
