OpenStudy (hkmiu):

Where is the x-intercept(s) in the graph of y = (x-1)(x+8)/(x+8)(x-6)? A. −8 B. 1 C. 1 and −8 D. 12 and −8 Can someone tell me why 6 isn't part of the option? I worked it out and found 1 & 6 to be the x intercept. Did i do it right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The function is undefined at 6 because if you plug in six you will see you end up diving by 0 which is a big no no.
