HELP!!!!!
If the mass of a marble is 4.98g, and the volume of water is 50.1mL, and the Volume of Water with Marble is 52.4mL. What is the Volume of the marble? and the Mass/Volume(g/mL)
@jim_thompson5910
Hint: Volume of Water With Marble = (Volume of Water Only) + (Volume of Marble Only)
But I'm already given the Volume of Water with Marble
Their asking for the volume of Marble(mL) and the Mass/Volume(g/mL) @jim_thompson5910
what's the volume of the marble?
sorry for the waiting im trying to write it out
that's ok
Okay, this is the sheet with the problem. The questions im asking you is on the graph
sorry i don't have the program needed to open that
oh. Well the mass of marble is 4.98. The volume of water is 50.1mL. The Volume of water with Marble is 52.4mL. What's the volume of the marble? and the mass/volume ?
yes I already know the original problem since you posted that above
oh well thats the problem then
so what's the volume of the marble (use my hint)
If im not given the volume of water with marble yet or the volume of water. how am i supposed to plug it into the formula?
The Volume of water with Marble = 52.4mL The volume of water = 50.1mL
you have all the info you need
are you sure you wrote the hint correct?
yes I'm sure
I think your suppose to subtact 52.4-50.1
yes
so the volume of the marble is what?
2.3
and what do i have to do to find the mass/volume ?
divide the mass of the marble by the volume of the marble
I get .0994
that's incorrect
OHHH!! WAIT nevermind! I used the wrong numbers! Its 2.165
good
can i ask you any questions if i get stuck?
sure I could do a few more
For another problem, its asking me to graph the "Volume on the x-axis" and the "Mass on the y-axis" but it isnt specific if its suppose to be the volume of the marble or the volume of the water. What do you think?
hmm it's probably the marble, I'm not sure
