speed does not care about direction... you did that part correctly
in the first 3 seconds you moved 3 meters
the next 3 seconds you did not move
in the last 3 seconds you moved 2 meters
total distance traveled is 5 meters over 9 seconds or 5/9 m/s

velocity is the distance between the starting point and the ending point divided by the time.

you start at x=0 and end up at x=1 over the course of 9 seconds
velocity is 1/9 m/s

(a) is correct
for (b) i am not sure only guess work.

1.may be but not sure,
displacement in 9 seconds=3-2=1 m only.
average velocity=1/9m/s
