graph of g(x) is f(x) translated to the left 8 units and up 2 units. what is the function rule for g(x) given f(x)=x^2? and explain how you did this

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(\large f(x) = x^2\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you wanto translate to the left by 8 units, and after translate it up by 2 units

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

translating 8 units to the left, x becomes (x+8) in the function translating 2 units up, the value of function increases by 2 over all \(\large g(x) = (x+8)^2+2\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

see if that makes some sense
