This assignment is partly creative writing, partly learning more about the event in question. If you were going to take the perspective of the people being attacked (the city of Constantinople), how would it make you feel if people gathered around your town and wanted to invade it? Or if you were one of the attackers, would you be excited because of the fighting or scared because you were just being pushed into a battle that you might die in?
