y/5+2=-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-50

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

You'd want only the y left on the left side, so first you'll minus both sides with 2: y/5 + 2 - 2 = -8 -2 y/5 = -10 Then you'll multiple both sides with 5. y/5 * 5 = -10 * 5 y = -50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You subtract 2 from left side and do the same to right side so you have y/5=-10 then you multiply by 5
