Eva played her favorite video games for 14 hours last week. Today, evas parents restricted her to 4 hours each week for the next 7 weeks. Create the function, f(x) that models evas total video game time and explain what each number in the situation respresents using complete sentences. Please help guys, I am HORRIBLE at math.

lets see...

looking for the correct answeronly pleasee !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey let me work girl. i got this!

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

@henryarias5. LOL!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Guys helpp ?

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

I have never created a function before!

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Is this like just potting a graph?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

plotting*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe plotting and explaing what each number on the graph represents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, is bout creating a fucntion and writing down each step

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

|dw:1378936895187:dw| That's all I got. I'm not sure how to make a function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankyouu ! (:

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Or is it like: f(x) (hours) = 7*(hours played a day) or something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its what you just said, idk how to do it though

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

I would do something like: Hours played in a week, y = 7x where x = hours played a day. Then you would have a range of 14 maximum and 4 minimum. That is 4<y<14 Maybe that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi again lol, no more guesses, here's my answer so she needs to have 4 hours a week for the next 7 weeks. To make this true we know need 4t, t as for week (time), we also need to have it done with 7 weeks so we will need 7week x 7 days which would be 49 days total. Now to put it together,4(t) and place the number of weeks to get the total number of hours. Example on week 7 hour number of hours she played is (4*7)=28 hours total.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the answer? if so THANKYOUUUUU !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait it asks for a function ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok f(x)=4x+14 is your function. The 14 is from the first week. Therefore, that's the function of the total hours she played.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Btw by reading your replies I bet you are doing an online homework lol. I guessing here's you: input answer, 4x wrong >_> come back to post, wait it asks for a function... lol.
