Hi! I can try to help intermittently. I have homework I have to do for tomorrow and I have a meeting for something soon. @johnny101 , are you using vector notation at all? Like, in class, have you seen something like \(\vec v=\hat i\ a+\hat j\ b\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We covered vectors but notations like that no

OpenStudy (theeric):

Okay! I have to think for a moment, then....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have 30^2+40^2-2(30)(40)cos i just dont know what angle to use

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any idea?

OpenStudy (theeric):

I'm looking at something, to check your work. But I think you're using law of cosines and the angle will be in between the two vectors. |dw:1378942238552:dw|
