Find the limit as x approaches pi/4 tanx I made that into (sin pi/4)/(cos pi/4) but not sure what the next step is?

why not just put x= pi/4 and find what tan (pi/4) is ...

of if you really want to use tan = sin/ cos you just need to find values of sin pi/4 and cos pi/4 if you have not remembered it yet, use the unit circle!
