It'd be colder, actually. You might think that being higher would be warmer, because it's closer to the sun. But the higher we get, the colder it actually feels. When we climb to higher altitudes, we see lower air pressure. That means that all the gas molecules in the air are spread further apart. If all the gas molecules are spread further apart, then they don't bump into each other as often. And if they don't bump into each other as often, then they don't generate as much energy. Without this energy, it does get colder. Think about the tops of mountains. They're cold, and covered in snow, because the top is at a higher altitude.
