The area of a parallelogram is the length of its base multiplied by its height. Since the smaller angle is 60 degrees, sin(60) is the ratio between the height and the smaller side 6. Therefore the height is 6sin(60) = 3*sqrt(3). => the area is 12*3*sqrt(3) = 36sqrt(3) [b].
