Must a generator have only one magnet? Any help is appreciated ty.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmm, a generator uses the magnetic field to induce an electric current in a ... wire ... cutting thru its field

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im not too sure if its restricted to only one magnet tho. it doesnt sound like it should be

my book isn't much help, i've tried looking online and maybe because i'm a mom trying to finish her gr. 12 just not understanding what i've read. That is one of my questions and have had no luck. N TY

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a simplest generator would have to have at least one magnetic field ... i do not see any real reason why it would be restricted to only one magnet for more complex designs
