A heavy ball is dropped into a lake from a height of 40 meters above the water. It hits the water with a certain velocity and continues to sink to the bottom of the lake at this same constant velocity.  It reaches the bottom of the lake 11 seconds after it has dropped. How deep is the lake?

This is impossible because the water would slow it's descent and second of all I need to know whether the ball has any sort of point anywhere or if it is a perfect sphere.
