@kevinzhengli Margarita has paid for everything in her life with cash, but has grown afraid of carrying too much cash with her at times. She would like to get an electronic card, but the type of card that has the most secure features and encrypts all her information. What type of card should Margarita get? A. Credit card B. Smart card C. Debit card D. Cash card
A.
@kevinzhengli Why option A?
but i thought debit cards are for cash?
I'm pretty sure it is debit.
My apologies, I didn't read the "cash" part. It is debit.
ooo ok :)
a debit card is also known as a cash card right?
A cash card is just to withdraw cash from cash points and a debit card can be used to purchase things up to the amount you have in your account at the time.
ooo ok
No. A debit card and a cash card are different. @MathFan12 Why debit? That is, how does a person know this is true about a debit card: " type of card that has the most secure features and encrypts all her information."
Read here about the Smart Card. http://computer.howstuffworks.com/question332.htm
@divagirl421 Look at @Directrix link. Smart Card is the correct answer. Funny I've never even heard of it.
me either
I have never heard of it and thought it was a "filler" option. Smart cards appear to be used in Europe. My library card has a chip in it as described in the link. My "banking" cards have the stripe technology.
OP, do you live in Europe? Would never see that test question in the US.
