For this type of problem, it's best to get rid of fraction by multiplying the least common multiple on the both sides to make the problem easier. The least common multiple for these fractions is 14. If both sides are multiplied by 14... \[9y+6=9\] \[9y=3\] \[y=\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }\]
