True or false? Although lipids can freely diffuse in the plane of the bilayer, they can't flip0flop across the bilayer unless enzyme catalysts called phospholipid translocators (or flippases) are present in the membrane.

I feel like it can be true, but I also read that floppases and scramblases exist. I am unsure if those are types of flippases as well or if they're it's own thing

yes it is true...dats y fluid mosaic model is called a 2D model. i think with the enzyme flipase there are other enzymes and other factors also which are responsible for this flipflop
