given tan theta = -4/3 and cos theta > 0 find sin theta

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan is negative in second and fourth quadrants cos is positive in first and fourth quadrants taking both conditions into account theta is in fourth quadrant where sine is negative

I was just wondering if someone would be willing to check my work? I ended up with -4/5 and have no clue if it's right but I think I did it correctly... If that makes sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan theta=-4/3 implies sin theta is sin theta =-4/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is right

YESSSSSSSS!!! Thank you!!
