.1. With a long distance company, the price of a 4-minute phone call is $1.70. An 11-minute call with the same company is $4.15. Find the linear equation that relates the numbers of minutes to the cost of the call. Use your equation to find out how much a 30-minute phone call would be.

OK let (4, 1.70) and (11,4.15) be points on the linear equation find the slope to be .35 then sub into the point slope formula using one of the points y-1.7=.35(x-4) then solve for y the linear equation is y=.35x+.3 sub in 30 for x and the 30 minute call will cost 10.80
