A star has a spectrum shift exhibiting a red shift. What can you conclude about the distance from Earth to that star?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
The star is moving away from Earth. Remember, this has to do with the doppler effect. Red shifts are characteristic of stars moving away from Earth and blue shifts describe what you'd see when a star is moving towards Earth.
