1. He established a school for the study of the arts of navigation, mapmaking, and shipbuilding. 2. Repopulated a village called Terçanaba 3. He donated houses for the Estudo Geral to reunite all the sciences - grammar, logic, rhetoric, arithmetic, music and astronomy - into what would later become the University of Lisbon.
